At Pro Performance Chiropractic, we understand the importance of sports physicals in ensuring your child’s optimal health and performance in their beloved sport. The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) mandates medical clearance for all athletes before each school year begins.

What Does the Examination Entail?

During the sports physical, your child can expect an examination akin to a standard well-child check-up. Here’s an overview of what to anticipate:

  • Measurement of height, weight, and blood pressure.
  • A thorough review of past medical and family history, with utmost importance placed on accurate completion of the pre-participation history form.
  • A comprehensive examination covering the head, eyes, ears, neck, throat, heart, lungs, abdomen, and an assessment of strength and flexibility. Specific areas of concern or prior injuries will receive careful scrutiny.

What Happens Post-Examination?

Following the examination, if the physician deems your athlete fit and safe to participate, they will complete a clearance form for submission to the school. If further evaluation or medical tests are required before clearance, we will coordinate the necessary steps. Our primary goal is to ensure your athlete returns to their beloved sport safely and as swiftly as possible.
